The School is designed to put significant leadership training within the reach of today's woman. Six units of quality classroom instruction and a church internship prepare students for certification as Women's Ministry Specialists. Students attend six one-day classroom sessions over a two-year period and complete assigned homework between classes.

The mission of the School of Women's Ministries is to train leaders to advance God's Kingdom through the church by motivating, equipping, and activating women to minister effectively to women, the church, and the world.

Our vision is to develop confident, competent, compassionate, courageous, and committed women fully using their gifts for maximum Kingdom impact.

Most women in ministry have little or no training for leadership. As a result, they often lack the confidence and feel unskilled in ministry. Because of family and work demands, many women don't have the time or money to attend seminary. However, for the church to fulfill Christ's mission, women need the tools to minister with confidence and competence.

Students attending the six classroom sessions and successfully completing all assignments and an internship will be certified as Women's Ministry Specialists. Homework will be graded on a simple pass/fail basis. Women not seeking certification may audit classes for a reduced fee.

New to the School! Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary in Fresno is designing a 30-unit diploma for "Women in Ministry." The diploma credits can be transferred into a full graduate degree program at the Seminary. If you are interested in taking the School of Women's Ministry courses for credit, please contact the Seminary directly at registrar@mbseminary.edu.

Tuition is $55 per unit ($330 for the two-year program). This covers Saturday classroom instruction, coach's input and lunch. Costs of textbooks and other learning tools are not included. There is a one-time registration fee. (Audit fee is $45 per unit, which includes classroom instruction and lunch.) Group discounts are available. Contact the registrar for information about group discounts. Students may miss no more than two sessions of classroom instruction during the two-year program to maintain enrollment in the School.
