Connecting pastors with searching churches
NCBC works each year with many of its churches in training local search teams, recommending potential candidates and giving counsel in the selection process to fill the senior, solo and staff positions in our churches.
Assisting churches in effective ministry
Church health can be maintained only with constant diligence and accurate current assessment. The NCBC provides for its churches the Natural Church Development survey process, followed by ongoing consultation to help the church reach full effectiveness.
Aiding churches in income expansion ministry
Every church, at some time, faces special needs ranging from facility expansion, staff additions, increase in mission commitments. The God is Able!!! Process brings expertise to the local church to assist in assessing vision, goals and possibilities for the congregation.
Reaching women for Christ
Each January, 600 women gather in Monterey, having invited friends to hear of the love of Christ.
Reaching men for Christ
Each March, 500 men gather at Mt. Hermon near Santa Cruz, excited about worship, learning, fellowship and evangelistic opportunities during the weekend.
Reaching youth for Christ
Our district coordinator, Cliff Olson, assists in recruiting youth for leadership training/evangelism events each summer in youth leadership training ministry.
Reaching seniors in Christ
Mount Hermon hosts the annual retreat event where seniors are challenged to use the golden years for Christ's service.
Reaching all people for Christ in our area
The following people groups have one of more churches in the NCBC: Hispanic, Filipino, Cambodian, Mienh, Vietnamese, and Chinese.
To reach out to the world
We have recently entered into a strategic alliance with the Reëncontro ministry in Rio de Janeiro to help reach street and slum children. Short-term mission opportunities will be available for NCBC churches and individuals.
Church Planting
Sunergeo is the church planting ministry of the NCBC and seeks to catalyze a movement of "fellow workers" with God to expand His kingdom, by reproducing congregations in Northern California. No ministry succeeds because of one individual: "I planted the seed; Apollos watered it, but God made it grow" (1 Cor. 3:6). No single church can reach the whole community, every culture, or all generations.
We work together with pastors and churches to plant healthy reproducing churches. Some work together in what we call "Lead Teams", some plant daughter churches.
We provide training to equip leaders from all our churches to be involved in a church planting movement. We provide coaching and resources for planters and their projects.
We invite you to explore the church planting website and consider how you might "Sunergeo" with us in God's church planting movement.
