During 2008, wildfires in California consumed more than 1.3 million acres.

Recently, the Jesuita Wildfire in Santa Barbara County signaled a rough fire season in 2009.

We've all watched in amazement as the video footage displays how quickly a wildfire can spread under the conditions of dry brush and high winds.

School of Women in Ministry

Most women in ministry have little or no training for leadership. As a result, they often lack confidence and feel unskilled in ministry.

Because of family and work demands, many women don’t have the time or money to attend seminary.

Mortgage Burning

Trinity Baptist Church in Solvang celebrated their final mortgage payment with a BBQ and mortgage burning ceremony 5/23.

Five years ago, the congregation was asked to commit to a financial campaign to reduce the mortgage.

Thanks to the Lord's provision through the generous giving from the congregation and a gift from CPW as part of a special bequest, the loan has been paid-off.

Funds that were obligated to the mortgage are now available to be used for other church outreach ministries in this community. Praise God!
